MDS Intelligence's Neokey Manager v4.0 Wins the Minister of Science and ICT Award

MDS Intelligence , an affiliate of MDS Tech, an AI embedded solution specialist, announced on the 4th that its product, NeoKeyManager v4.0, was selected for the June New Software (SW) Product Award and received the Minister of Science and ICT Award.

NeoKeyManager v4.0 is a platform for integrated management of in-house encryption keys and certificates. It manages the entire lifecycle of keys and certificates, including issuance, distribution, renewal, and disposal, through secure key storage based on a Hardware Security Module (HSM) and a web-based management portal. It also provides automatic audit logs and security reports.

This platform supports standards such as the Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) and PKCS#11, enabling integration with various encryption systems. It also offers IoT device authentication, over-the-air (OTA) code signing, server and system redundancy, and backup and recovery capabilities, helping to prepare for security incidents. Recently, it achieved Grade 1 GS certification and is being applied to smart factory environments and automotive mass production facilities, achieving both productivity and security through automated key management. Furthermore, it is recognized as a KMIP-compliant Key Management System (KMS), earning it a reputation as a trusted solution across diverse industries, including finance, public sector, and manufacturing.

The KMIP standard is a protocol developed to facilitate encryption key protection and management, ensuring interoperability between various enterprise applications and cryptographic systems. It is effectively used to protect data and devices, key corporate assets.

Existing KMS solutions were primarily designed for financial or IT services, making them unsuitable for manufacturing and OT (Operational Technology) environments. However, NeoKeyManager v4.0 expands its scope to OT sectors such as automotive, semiconductor, and smart factories. In the automotive industry, it supports the establishment of a key management system from R&D to production lines and mass production facilities. Based on the KMIP 3.0 standard, it supports key generation, distribution, and integration between OEMs and Tier-1 and Tier-2. This allows OEMs to securely transfer keys to their partners, who then use them to secure components and vehicle software, preventing key leaks and improving process efficiency.

MDS Intelligence CEO Chang-Geon Ji said, “We have improved the efficiency of encryption key management through the NeoKeyManager v4.0 upgrade,” and “We will lead the global security market by expanding our solutions to include strengthening vehicle software security and automating SSL/TLS certificate management.”
