POSCO announced on the 2nd that it won the grand prize at the government-sponsored 'Small and Medium Business Technology Market Excellent Technology Competition' with its cloud electronic contract service 'eformsign'.
The SME Technology Market Excellence Technology Competition is a government-sponsored event that discovers and awards companies with outstanding technologies and products registered in the Technology Market and that have achieved outstanding results in the public sector and overseas markets.
POSCO's award is backed by its proprietary electronic document technology and reliability, steadily accumulated over the past 30 years. Eformsign was the first in the industry to obtain the Cloud Service Security Certification (CSAP) for Public Institutions and was the only company in the industry to be simultaneously designated as both an "Outstanding Research and Development Innovative Product" and a "Digital Service Innovative Product," securing the highest level of technological reliability in the public sector. In particular, POSCO holds over 20 patents for original technologies related to electronic contracts and electronic documents. Its proprietary technology for scanning life-size "seals," which determine the reliability of contracts, and its US patent for chatbot-based electronic document creation have set it apart from its competitors.
POSCO plans to leverage its "Eformsign AI," slated for official launch in September 2025, to secure a leading position in future markets. By leveraging AI-powered document layout analysis technology, POSCO plans to streamline inconvenient processes in document processing, such as having generative AI review contracts. Currently underway as a national project, POSCO is accelerating the development of a next-generation electronic contract platform leveraging massive LLM AI technology.
