Tomato Systems' US subsidiary signs contract to develop core systems for U.S. Medicare health plans.

CyberMDCare, the US subsidiary of Tomato Systems (393210), announced on the 3rd that it has signed a contract to develop a core insurance system for 'Medcare Partners Health Plan of Texas', scheduled to launch in 2026 in Harris County, Texas, and has begun a full-scale development project.

This project, being conducted in Harris County, a strategically important region ranked third in population and economic size in the United States, is attracting industry attention for its scale and symbolic significance. It is particularly significant as the first case of a Korean IT company developing a comprehensive system for a Medicare health plan officially approved by the US federal and state governments, demonstrating official recognition of CyberMDCare's technological prowess in the US healthcare IT market.

Through this contract, CyberMDCare will develop key systems necessary for the operation of Medicare Partners Health Plans, including the broker management portal, insurance application portal, and AWE (Annual Wellness Exam) portal. These systems will include functions such as insurance eligibility management, online insurance enrollment, digitization of annual health checkups, remote medical consultation (RPM), and wellness program integration.

Among these, the AWE portal is a system that insurance companies must submit to the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) when requesting payment of fees. It is attracting the attention of local insurance companies and medical institutions as it automates various functions such as remote monitoring (RPM), video consultation, and health risk assessment (HRA).

CyberMDCare has introduced a subscription-based revenue model to this system. Rather than the traditional post-treatment billing model, this system charges subscribers a monthly fee of $20, making it applicable to over 3,100 health plans in the United States. This model is also expected to expand the RPM-based vital data service market.

The company plans to use this project as an opportunity to further strengthen its position in the US Medicare market and, in the long term, to advance into becoming a global healthcare platform connecting Korea and the US. In particular, the company anticipates that a prevention-focused digital healthcare model will make a tangible contribution to reducing medical costs and improving quality of life in an aging society.

There are currently approximately 66 million Medicare enrollees in the United States, and with more than half of them choosing 'Medicare Advantage' plans operated by private insurers, the related market is expected to continue growing.

A CyberMDCare representative stated, "We are systematically designing a system that reflects the core functions of insurance companies, market trends, and regulatory requirements. We plan to expand the Medicare portal package developed by Tomato Systems to health plans across the United States." They added, "Through this collaboration with 'MedCare Partners,' a medical group with over 6,000 affiliated medical institutions, we will expand our collaboration into the digital healthcare sector."
