
MegaZone Cloud 's Chief Quantum Officer, Dong-ho Kim, received the Excellence Scientist Award at the '2025 Korea Nobel Science Prize Ceremony and Nobel Science Forum' held at Seoul National University's Ho-Am Faculty House on the 23rd.
The Nobel Science Prize in the Republic of Korea is awarded to researchers and technology leaders who have contributed to the spread of domestic scientific and technological achievements and to presenting a vision for the future. The winners are selected through a comprehensive evaluation of research achievements and industrial ripple effects in the field of science and technology.
Kim Dong-ho, CQO, was selected as the recipient of the Outstanding Scientist Award in recognition of his research and development and business achievements in promoting the industrial application and ecosystem expansion of quantum computing technology. Kim leads Megazone Cloud's quantum business unit, Quantum Innovation Lab, where he has been building a quantum cloud platform and developing quantum consulting services for enterprises.
MegaZone Cloud offers global quantum computing services, including Amazon Braket and Microsoft Azure Quantum, integrated into a single environment through its proprietary quantum cloud platform, "M-Qloud." This allows corporate customers to select and utilize quantum computing resources tailored to their needs, reducing dependence on specific hardware.
Furthermore, MegaZone Cloud is collaborating with global quantum computing companies such as IonQ, Terra Quantum, and ClassicQ to support domestic companies in leveraging quantum hardware, software, and algorithm development tools. Furthermore, it is expanding its application in industrial settings by promoting educational programs and demonstration projects.
Kim Dong-ho, Chief Quality Officer (CQO), stated that this award is a recognition of the direction and execution of MegaZone Cloud's strategy for integrating quantum computing, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. He added that the company will continue to expand the use of quantum technology in domestic industries and pursue quantum cloud-based demonstrations and commercialization.
