New media comprehensive content company DSMC (CEO Yongtae Kim) announced on the 25th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Artificial Intelligence Research Center of Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) for industry-academia joint research cooperation on generative AI-based technologies.
This agreement aims to accelerate technological development and industrial convergence centered on generative AI and contribute to the advancement of the domestic digital ecosystem. The two organizations plan to continue strategic collaboration in various areas, including securing AI data and jointly developing core technologies, exchanging human and technical resources, discovering and promoting AI-based joint research projects, and cooperating on technology commercialization.
As an official partner of global platforms such as Google, Meta, and X, DSMC possesses unique capabilities in applying generative AI technology to practical applications ranging from content creation to marketing automation. Within the advertising industry, DSMC is also leading the way in establishing and operating specialized organizations such as "AI Labs" and "AI Studio."
The Pohang University of Science and Technology's Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (POSTECH) is an AI research institute that continuously expands technological contacts between industry and academia through research that goes beyond theory to include industrial applications and empirical research.
DSMC stated, “Generative AI is fundamentally changing the paradigm of the content industry,” and “Through close collaboration between technology-focused academia and practice-focused industries, faster and more effective industrial application will become possible.”
