The Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as the Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation) announced that it is recruiting participants for the "2025 Kakao Class," a program jointly organized with Kakao to support the digital transformation of local small business owners. This class, run in collaboration with 12 other centers for creative economy and innovation across the country, aims to help small business owners develop online sales channels and strengthen their business capabilities.
"2025 Kakao Class" is a practical, hands-on training program that combines online and offline channels to support the digital transformation of small business owners. The online course, aimed at KakaoTalk Store (Talk Deal) operators, provides a curriculum designed to strengthen practical business capabilities, including: store success strategies; product registration methods that increase sales; practical know-how on Kakao Shopping Live that generates sales from the first broadcast; and AI-based e-store operation. In September, offline training will be held in five regions nationwide for the first time since the pandemic. This program will provide tailored training and expert consultations on topics such as Kakao Map store registration and branding; customer acquisition strategies utilizing KakaoTalk channels; and expanding new customers through Kakao's "Easy Advertising." This program aims to support the practical growth of small business owners.
This "2025 Kakao Class," which is expected to produce synergy effects through open innovation cooperation between innovative companies and participation centers, is expected to contribute to the revitalization of the local business ecosystem through open innovation cooperation between Kakao and the National Creative Economy Innovation Center.
Oh Deuk-chang, CEO of the Sejong Changgyeong Center, stated, "We are committed to achieving a balanced development of technology and local startups." He emphasized, "This Kakao Class is a great opportunity for local small business owners to strengthen their digital capabilities by leveraging Kakao's platform and expertise, which has consistently driven technological innovation." He added, "This open innovation collaboration will be a great help for small business owners to adapt to the rapidly changing market and achieve sustainable growth."
Kakao Class is a program jointly hosted by Kakao and the Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation since 2016. To date, it has supported the digital transformation of approximately 6,400 small business owners and lifestyle manufacturing startups at 11 centers nationwide, including the Sejong Center.
Sejong Changgyeong Center expects this "2025 Kakao Class" to serve as a springboard for local small business owners and lifestyle manufacturing startups to secure competitiveness in the digital market and explore new growth opportunities.
