Miso Information Technology (CEO Nam Sang-do), a multimodal data platform specialist, announced on the 25th that it had been selected as a specialized company for the "AI Factory" project, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Technology Evaluation and Planning (KEIT). This selection is official recognition of Miso Information Technology's AI technology and data-based solutions' applicability in industrial settings.
The 'Designation of AI Factory Specialists' is a national strategic project to strengthen industrial competitiveness by discovering companies that will lead AI-based manufacturing innovation. It is part of the 'AI Factory Alliance' that was expanded in 2025 as a follow-up measure to the 'AI Autonomous Manufacturing Alliance' launched in 2024.
Smile Information Technology has been supporting the intelligentization of manufacturing processes by providing generative AI and data-driven smart factory solutions to domestic and international manufacturing companies. The selection process comprehensively evaluated companies' AI autonomous manufacturing technology, supply performance, market reliability, growth potential, data utilization strategies, and potential contributions to the AI foundation model.
The company's core platform, "Smart IoT Prism," is an AI-based autonomous manufacturing and industrial safety integrated platform that collects, processes, analyzes, and visualizes IoT data from manufacturing sites. Through natural language question-and-answer, time-series and correlation analysis, outlier detection, integrated data management, and intuitive visualization capabilities, it transforms IoT data into valuable insights, contributing to manufacturing innovation and growth for major companies such as Lotte Engineering & Construction, Hyundai Steel, and Ecopro.
In particular, Micro Information Technology is developing on-device AI wearable devices based on domestically produced SoCs, improving worker safety and convenience in semiconductor and electronic component manufacturing environments. Furthermore, by linking with "SafeWE," an ontology-based industrial safety and risk assessment solution, the company is contributing to the prevention of serious accidents in construction and manufacturing sites.
Nam Sang-do, CEO of Smile Information Technology, said, "This selection as a specialized company demonstrates our ability to apply AI technology and data-based solutions in the field. We will continue to work to foster the digital transformation of manufacturing companies and create a safe industrial environment."
