The Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Lee Byeong-seon) announced on the 25th that it ran a startup support program for 28 companies selected for the "2025 Preliminary Startup Package" in Seoul from August 18th to 19th. The program consisted of ▲investment education (Value-up) and ▲basic training for global expansion.
This training was designed to strengthen the investment capabilities of prospective startups in the Jeju region and support their preparation for entering overseas markets.
The investment education program, held on the first day, provided IR storytelling strategies, presentation deck design know-how, and customized consulting for each company. Participating companies were matched with actual investment reviewers through group mock pitching sessions and received feedback. Top-performing companies will also be given the opportunity to participate in Demo Day later this year.
The second day featured basic global training. The course focused on overseas market research methods and developing effective global marketing strategies. It also covered an overview of the Asian market and entry strategies, local market research techniques, and examples and considerations for startups entering the global market.
In May, the Jeju Center selected 28 teams of prospective entrepreneurs with technology-based startup ideas in Jeju's strategic industries. Selected companies will receive approximately 20 million won in commercialization funding, with the possibility of receiving up to 40 million won in additional support based on future performance.
A Jeju Center official stated, “This program is a practical training course that helps startups in their early stages effectively enter domestic and international markets,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the commercialization of aspiring entrepreneurs through step-by-step growth support.”
