The Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Young-Geun Lee, hereinafter referred to as Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation) announced the official launch of 'Build X', a specialized public-private cooperative open innovation program focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), AI-based user experience (AX), and 'population tech' that responds to population structure changes.
This program is part of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' public-private partnership open innovation support project, in which Seoul Changgyeong is participating as the main organization. It was planned with a strategic focus on 'AI/AX and population technology' to respond to the rapidly changing social structure and technological demands.
Seoul Changgyeong announced that it conducted a pilot program of "Build X" through the "Public-Private Collaboration Open Innovation Meetup Day" in February, and that the PoC and collaboration between demand companies and startups subsequently led to tangible results. Based on these results, Seoul Changgyeong announced the expansion of its own public-private collaboration open innovation program.
'Build X' focuses on the development of population tech solutions that address social challenges such as advanced services utilizing AI/AX technology and low birth rates. Seoul Changgyeong plans to operate specialized meetups (business meetings) and related programs by linking with the six major growth engine industries (ABCDEF) and focusing on AI/AX and population tech.
Lee Young-geun, CEO of Seoul Changkyung, stated, "AI/AX and population technology are key areas driving structural transformation in Korean society." He added, "Through open innovation, Seoul Changkyung is designing a structure where large corporations and startups can work together to solve social problems and prepare for future markets." Manager Chae Song-hwa added, "We will continue to provide continuous support to ensure that companies continue to achieve results even after the agreement period."
Seoul Changgyeong will make its debut through the 'Build X (1st)' program to be held on August 26th, and will solidify its image as a leader in open innovation through the 'KRA Build X' program with the Korea Racing Authority. Companies wishing to participate in open innovation related to the horse industry with the Korea Racing Authority can apply through the Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center website until 11:00 AM on September 1st.
