On August 20 , the Gyeonggi Content Agency (President Yong-seok Tak, hereinafter referred to as Gyeonggi Content Agency) signed a three-party business agreement (MOU) with the Suwon Special City Museum Business Office (Director Jae-seop Kim) and Backsport Co., Ltd. (CEO Yun-su Shin) at the Suwon Hwaseong Museum for joint promotion of the '2025 Gyeonggi Regional Specialized Content Development Support' project.
This agreement aims to develop content themed around King Jeongjo's visit to Suwon in the year of Eulmyo and to leverage this to revitalize local tourism. The signing ceremony was attended by Gyeonggi Provincial Council Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee Chairman Hwang Dae-ho (Democratic Party of Korea, Suwon 3) and Representative Kim Do-hoon (People Power Party) to support the project's successful implementation.
Chairman Hwang Dae-ho stated, "We will actively support collaborations like this agreement so that they can establish themselves as best practices and help Gyeonggi Province's excellent content take the lead in advancing into a K-content powerhouse." Representative Kim Do-hoon added, "We anticipate that the content completed through this agreement will play a positive role in advancing the UNESCO listing of King Jeongjo's Royal Procession."
According to the agreement, Suwon Hwaseong Museum will provide related materials and content exhibition space, Baeksport Co., Ltd. will produce content based on this, and Gyeongconjin will oversee the entire project and provide approximately 170 million won in production costs.
The content being produced is designed to be immersive and hands-on for visitors, and will be exhibited at the Suwon Hwaseong Museum during the 'Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival' to be held in September.
Director Tak Yong-seok said, “It is meaningful to support the production of content commemorating the 230th anniversary of King Jeongjo’s Eulmyo year procession to Suwon,” and added, “I hope to be able to provide enjoyment to many visitors.”
