Deep Insight Signs Business Agreement with Orientum

Deep Insight (CEO Eunsong Oh) , a company specializing in AI-based 3D sensing solutions, and Orientum (CEO Seunghyun Bang), a quantum computing technology company, announced on the 20th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the ‘development of a quantum artificial intelligence (AI) model based on 3D spatial information to maximize its use in the defense sector.’

Through this agreement, the two companies have identified key areas of cooperation, including: developing a battlefield simulation model that integrates quantum algorithms and AI technology; research on standardizing 3D spatial data for quantum computing applications; and developing a joint platform based on both companies' technologies. The goal is to maximize technological synergy and enhance practical applicability in the defense sector.

Orientum will be responsible for developing quantum algorithms and related platform technologies, while DeepInsight will be responsible for AI-based 3D spatial data analysis and optimization solutions. Specifically, DeepInsight plans to provide complex environmental information processing technologies, including spatial recognition, object detection, and biometrics, through its lightweight AI 3D camera solution.

The two companies expect this collaboration to serve as a foundation for developing AI and quantum technology convergence models in various industries requiring high-difficulty data analysis and high-level decision-making, including finance and smart cities, in addition to national defense.

Deep Insight CEO Oh Eun-song stated, "This agreement marks the starting point for exploring technological independence and advancement in strategic industries through the convergence of AI and quantum technologies." Orientum CEO Bang Seung-hyun stated, "Through our technological collaboration, we will focus on generating effective research results and commercialization cases."
