The Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association has begun accepting applications for the 2nd AI and Software Enterprise ESG Management Awards.

The Korea Artificial Intelligence & Software Industry Association (KOSA, Chairman Cho Jun-hee) announced that it will begin accepting applications for the '2nd AI·SW Company ESG Management Awards' from August 20 to October 31.

This award was created to identify artificial intelligence (AI) and software (SW) companies with outstanding ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management performance and to promote best practices. Last year, KOSA launched Korea's first ESG management diagnostic service specialized for the AI and software industries and held the "1st SW Company ESG Management Awards." This year, the award's scope has been expanded by adding "AI" to the award name and adding diagnostic items to address global AI regulations, such as the EU AI ACT.

Eligible for applications are companies that have completed the "AI·SW Company ESG Management Diagnosis" conducted by the association by October 31st and demonstrate outstanding performance in the E (Environment), S (Society), and G (Governance) areas. The application period runs for 10 weeks, from August 20th to October 31st, and evaluations will be based on a combined assessment result and the Deliberation Committee's evaluation score.

The event is hosted and organized by the ESG Committee under the Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Software Industry Association, and the Electronic Times. The awards ceremony will be held on December 17th at the "2025 KOSA Members' Night."

This year's awards are divided into a total of 9 categories, with ▲3 Grand Prizes (Minister of Science and ICT Award), ▲4 Excellence Awards (Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association President Award), and ▲2 Special Awards (Software Mutual Aid Association Chairman Award, Electronic Times President Award).

In particular, this year, the number of Minister of Science and ICT Awards has been expanded from one to three, which is expected to provide more companies with opportunities to receive recognition.

The "AI·SW Company ESG Management Diagnosis" service operated by KOSA is Korea's only ESG diagnosis specialized for the AI·SW industry, reflecting industry-specific diagnosis items such as data management, AI reliability and ethics compliance, and digital accessibility, as well as data from approximately 1,000 domestic and international ESG initiatives.

By introducing generative AI technology, the platform provides customized insights, including evaluation results by diagnostic factor and analysis of material issues. Through systematic diagnosis, the platform precisely analyzes ESG performance and proposes specific improvement measures. Furthermore, it provides one-stop support for comparative analysis with similar industries and status management through a dashboard.

This diagnostic service is provided free of charge to all regular members of the association, and all companies that participate in the diagnostic service by October 31st will automatically be considered for the award.

KOSA Chairman Cho Jun-hee said, “This year, we have added diagnostic items specialized for AI companies to help them respond to global AI regulations, and by providing free diagnostic services, we have created opportunities for more companies to strengthen their ESG management capabilities.” He added, “I hope that through the active participation of AI and software companies, we can discover and spread best practices in ESG management in our industry.”
