Social venture company Nanum Vitamin Co., Ltd. (CEO Ha-yeon Kim) and Seoul National University Headquarters of the university non-profit organization Sipsiilbap (Director Min-seong Kim) recently announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation to spread a culture of sharing within the university and foster a digital-based donation culture.
This agreement aims to build a new digital welfare system for economically vulnerable students within the university, leveraging the resources and networks of both institutions.
Nanum Vitamin is a social venture that operates "Nabiyam," a meal sharing platform that connects children at risk of hunger with local restaurants. It develops digital technology-based models to address social issues. CEO Kim Ha-yeon developed the platform to address the food accessibility issues faced by children who were experiencing hunger during her volunteer work.
10-Si-Il-Bap is a non-profit organization where university student volunteers work voluntarily in the campus cafeteria, use their wages to purchase meal tickets, and provide these to students experiencing financial difficulties. The Seoul National University headquarters recruits volunteers and beneficiaries each semester to continue providing meal support, contributing to the university's voluntary sharing and welfare system.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on ▲planning and operating joint campaigns to spread a culture of donation, ▲jointly reviewing plans to link meal support for underprivileged students, ▲jointly developing donation education and digital content for university students, and ▲promoting other joint projects.
In particular, this agreement is expected to contribute to the creation of a more systematic and sustainable welfare ecosystem within the university by combining the offline-based volunteer model of Sipsilbap with the digital platform operation capabilities of Nanum Vitamin.
Nanum Vitamin CEO Kim Ha-yeon said, “Through our collaboration with 10-Si-Ilbap, we expect that the culture of sharing within universities will expand through digital platforms and create sustainable social value.”
Kim Min-seong, director of the Seoul National University headquarters, said, “We will create a new support model that combines voluntary participation of university students and digital technology to provide practical assistance to more students.”
