Horang Edu Wins Excellence Award at the 2025 Eduplus Awards

AI/software (SW) education edutech startup Horang Edu (CEO Yoo Do-hee) announced on the 18th that its Korean coding education service 'Horang' won an Excellence Award at the '2025 Eduplus Awards'.

The '2025 Eduplus Awards' was a side event of the '2025 Eduplus Week Future Education Expo' held at COEX in Seoul from August 13th to 15th. Sponsored by related organizations such as the Ministry of Education and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, the event was attended by approximately 170 educational institutions from 15 countries, exhibiting approximately 200 educational solutions.

The awards were judged based on a multifaceted evaluation of the participating solutions, which included educational effectiveness, innovation and future orientation, teacher support and usability, ease of use, information security and reliability, and marketability and sustainability. A total of eight companies, including Ice Cream Media and Mirae N, advanced to the finals. The judging process was conducted jointly by approximately 100 experts and current teachers.

Horang Edu won an Excellence Award for its Korean-based coding and AI education service, "Horang." Horang aims to lower the barrier to entry for programming language learning by providing a coding environment written entirely in Korean. It also features AI features like an AI coding tutor and a curriculum aligned with the 2022 revised curriculum. Currently, over 600 educational institutions nationwide are utilizing this service.

Horang Edu CEO Yoo Do-hee said, “Through this award, we have objectively recognized the educational value and technological prowess of Horang’s service,” and added, “We will continue to develop our service into one that provides practical help in the digital education field.”
