Daejeon Innovation Center Launches Expert Council to Build AX Ecosystem

The Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Daehee Park, hereinafter referred to as the Daejeon Innovation Center) launched the 'Daejeon AX Committee', a professional consultative body for building and activating the AX (AI Transformation) ecosystem in the Daejeon region, on the 14th.

AX (Artificial Intelligence Transformation) is a strategy for applying artificial intelligence (AI) technology to various industries to improve business model efficiency. The market is rapidly expanding based on its potential for convergence with other industries and its innovative potential. Furthermore, demand for AX technology is also increasing among local SMEs seeking to strengthen their technological competitiveness.

This year, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups has set a goal of increasing the AI utilization rate among SMEs from 28% last year to 50% by 2027 and applying and disseminating the innovative AX technology of AI startups to key regional industries.

Against this backdrop, this council aims to foster an ecosystem through collaboration between the Daejeon Innovation Center and AX-related organizations, discover outstanding startups, and promote business growth through matching between small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations.

The 'Daejeon AX Committee' is comprised of members from Daejeon Metropolitan City and 10 AX-related organizations, and plans to establish a foundation for diverse cooperation through segmentation of AX application technologies that reflect the region's strengths and mentoring by field.

In addition, the committee plans to pursue strategies such as accelerating AI technology convergence, advancing automation solutions, and accelerating global expansion to innovate the business competitiveness of startups. Furthermore, the committee will strive to utilize specialized AX solutions, innovate public services, and foster a talent ecosystem to secure competitiveness and achieve balanced development in the Daejeon region.

In addition, the center will serve as a leading hub for the Daejeon region's AX ecosystem, exploring various measures to establish a policy validation base, standardize models, and contribute to national competitiveness. Another key goal is to establish an integrated platform and institutional foundation through a collaborative public-private ecosystem.

Park Dae-hee, CEO of the Daejeon Innovation Center, emphasized, “The establishment of this council will play a major role in simultaneously strengthening the business competitiveness of excellent startups in the AX field and securing regional competitiveness,” and added, “We will continue to contribute to the revitalization of the AX ecosystem in the Daejeon region by deriving detailed plans for continuous cooperation and business growth.”
