Muhayu was selected as the lead research organization for the Korea Creative Content Agency's AI analysis technology for shared works.

Muhayu (CEO Dong-ho Shin) , a practical AI technology company based on natural language processing, announced that it has been selected as the lead organization for the Korea Creative Content Agency's research and development (R&D) project, "Development of content analysis and type information judgment technology for global expansion of shared works."

This project will run for approximately 21 months, from April 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026, with Muhayu responsible for overall technology development. The research will be conducted as a consortium involving Soongsil University and HM Company, an internal audit specialist.

The project's primary goal is to leverage AI technology to address copyright disputes and usage restrictions arising in the shared-copyright domain. The use of shared-copyrighted works is often restricted due to unclear rights relationships, and establishing a systematic analysis and classification system is crucial for global market penetration.

Muhayu is developing technology that automatically determines whether content uploaded to its platform is genuine copyrighted work through AI and categorizes various shared works, including images, videos, and text, by type. Furthermore, the company is building a system that analyzes similarities with existing works to detect duplication and plagiarism. Empirical research to verify the effectiveness of this technology is also planned.

The developed technology will enhance the usability and accessibility of public domain works. Through AI-based automatic analysis and classification, it is expected to contribute to preventing copyright disputes and establishing a foundation for the global expansion of public domain works. It also aims to expand secondary applications in education, the public sector, and the private sector.

Based on 13 years of accumulated natural language processing and content analysis technology, Muhayu operates AI-based plagiarism detection solutions such as "CopyKiller," "VisualChecker," and "GPTKiller," a generative AI detection service. Recently, the company has also participated in the Korea Creative Content Agency's "Development of Similarity Comparison Technology Specialized in AI-Written News Articles," conducting research utilizing approximately 1 million news data items.

Muhayu CEO Shin Dong-ho said, “The global expansion of shared works is a key task for the development of the Korean content industry,” and added, “Through this research and development project, we will contribute to the commercialization of AI technology and the creation of social value.”
