Forty2Maru Hosts Corporate Introduction Session at the Finals of the 2025 SW-Centric University Digital Competition

Generative AI startup 42Maru (CEO Dong-Hwan Kim) announced on the 12th that it will hold a company introduction session at the final round of the '2025 SW-centered University Digital Competition' held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul.

Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), this competition brings together students from 58 software-focused universities across the country to compete in solving social problems and developing innovative ideas based on the latest software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Twelve teams from each of the software and AI categories, representing approximately 150 students, advanced to the finals. Programs include presentation evaluations, poster sessions, and networking.

In this session, Kim Han-soo, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Forty2Maru, will introduce the latest technology trends related to ultra-lightweight language models (sLLM) and augmented search generation (RAG). He will also emphasize the importance of problem definition skills, data interpretation, and service planning capabilities, going beyond simple technical implementation.

Forty Two Maru will be participating as a sponsor of this competition and will present the "Sponsorship Award." The winning team will be exempted from the document screening process for company recruitment. The awards ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM, and a total of 28 awards will be presented, including the Minister of Science and ICT Award and the President of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency Award.

Meanwhile, Forti2Maru is also participating in talent development to foster an AI industry ecosystem. In collaboration with Pusan National University, Sungkyunkwan University, UNIST, Inha University, and others, Forti2Maru operates the "Generative AI Leading Talent Development Project," which annually trains approximately 80 industry-convergence AI experts. Furthermore, through a project that combines AI technology development and educational strategies with Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul National University, Chung-Ang University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Forti2Maru has produced 400 master's and doctoral degree holders and approximately 170 advanced AI professionals over the past eight years.

Earlier this month, the company was selected for the "AI Star Fellowship Support Project" with Sungkyunkwan University, and is currently developing next-generation AI technologies, including hyper-personalized knowledge-based AI, collaborative multi-agents, and autonomous infrastructure operation technologies, as well as fostering new researchers.

FortiTumaru is developing a solution that applies Augmented Search Generation (RAG42) and Machine Reading Comprehension (MRC42) technologies to reduce hallucination problems in the field of generative AI. It also offers private AI services to corporate clients through its industry-specific, lightweight model, "LLM42." This solution is notable for its simultaneous consideration of data security and cost efficiency.

CEO Kim Dong-hwan said, “This competition, where students experience the entire process from problem definition to solution, is an opportunity to see the intersection of AI technology and creativity,” and “Forty2Maru plans to continue providing technical support and cooperation so that talents can demonstrate their actual capabilities in industrial settings.”
