IT services company VNTG announced on the 12th that it has appointed Kim Do-wan as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Kim will oversee the company's overall technology strategy and be responsible for accelerating the company's transformation into a platform and SaaS business.
CTO Kim has demonstrated technical leadership at SK Telecom, Daliworks (co-founded), and Barogo (Vice President). As Vice President of Technology at Barogo, he contributed to the transformation of the existing monolithic system to a cloud-native microservices architecture (MSA), building a stable platform capable of processing over 1 million transactions per day.
He is recognized for his expertise in designing and building scalable technology platforms that enhance business value by combining the stable system operation experience of large corporations with the rapid execution capabilities of a startup.
With the appointment of CTO Kim, VNTG plans to focus on enhancing the technological capabilities of its existing SI/SM business and transitioning to a reusable platform and SaaS model. To achieve this, the company will modernize its system architecture, establish a data-driven development culture, and internalize core AI and SaaS technologies.
CTO Kim Do-wan said, “Technology is a key driver of growth, not a cost. We will drive innovation at VNTG by designing the future of our business with technology.”
VNTG CEO Kim Tae-geun expressed his expectations, saying, “CTO Kim’s extensive experience will be of great help to VNTG’s growth and customer support.”
