
Vice Minister Kim Sung -seop of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) attended the '2025 Innovative Venture Industry New Year's Greetings' held at the E-Tower in Seoul on the 22nd and had time to encourage the venture industry and pledge mutual cooperation.
The New Year's party was attended by approximately 170 people, including heads of venture associations such as the Korea Venture Business Association and the Korea Venture Capital Association, heads of related organizations, and venture businesspeople.
At the event, the '2025 Innovation Venture Vision Forum' was held with the theme of 'Organic Cooperation for a Sustainable Venture Ecosystem', and the Venture Capital Association, Venture Business Association, Women's Venture Association, Early-stage Investment Accelerator Association, and Korea Startup Forum each presented their annual plans and presented public-private cooperation plans.
Vice Minister Kim Sung-seop emphasized in his congratulatory remarks, “Despite difficult economic conditions, domestic companies have won the most innovation awards at CES 2025 for two consecutive years and Seoul has been selected as the 9th global startup city, standing out on the global stage.” He added, “This year, let’s overcome the current crisis through innovation and leap forward together, with the public and private sectors, and create greater results.”
In addition, he stated, “To this end, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups will focus on globalizing venture and startups and fostering deep-tech companies, and will continue to communicate with the industry.”
