Prediction announced on the 22nd that it had attracted seed investment from accelerator Bluepoint Partners.
Prediction’s battery diagnosis technology is characterized by being able to diagnose battery status without the need for separate devices or the complex process of removing the battery from the vehicle by utilizing existing electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Since diagnosis is performed naturally during charging, the battery status can be checked quickly without additional time and cost.
The electric vehicle battery diagnosis and management market is currently estimated to be worth approximately KRW 1.82 trillion and is considered a promising field with rapid growth expected over the next 10 years.
Kim Min-sun, senior auditor at Bluepoint, said, “We decided to invest because we highly valued the growth potential of the electric vehicle market and the technological innovation of Prediction,” adding, “The technology that can collect data simultaneously with charging and diagnose the battery condition in less than five minutes will provide differentiated value in the market.”
Kim Du-ho, CEO of Prediction, said, “Our goal is to stabilize the electric vehicle market and realize a circular economy for batteries with innovative consumer-centered diagnostic solutions,” adding, “Through this investment, we plan to strengthen our research and development capabilities and present their value to the market.”
