Olymplanet Holds '1st Immersive Plus Forum'

Olymplaite announced on the 22nd that it held the 1st Immersive+ Forum at Spark Plus COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 21st. This forum was attended by around 50 people including professionals in the fields of finance, investment, construction and real estate, retail, marketing, and university professors, and provided a venue to discuss brand marketing methods utilizing extended reality (XR) and big data technology.

The forum focused on presenting pop-up store strategies utilizing eco-friendly solutions, and the presentation sessions were followed by a networking session for participants to interact and discuss business collaboration.

In the first session, Kim Gwang-soo, CEO of Macho’s Adolescence, presented on the topic of ‘Ecosystem for Eco-friendly Pop-up Stores.’ CEO Kim proposed a next-generation eco-pop-up store model that combines eco-friendly space design and digital technology through project cases of collaboration with various companies such as LG Electronics, Shinsegae Property, and Olymplaat.

In the second session, Shin Seung-ho, CBO of Olymplaat Brand, presented a case study on digital twin technology using 360 cameras and 3D game engines. Shin explained how to enhance brand experience through immersive content and digital signage using ELYPECS, a B2B XR solution, and presented a practical alternative to increase visitor immersion and reduce disposable waste.

In the last session, Taekyu Choi, Director of Operations at Addd, shared an eco-friendly pop-up operation case study using the big data analysis platform Space-i to analyze the movement of visitors to the pop-up store, determine their length of stay, and optimize operations in real time. He also introduced a strategy to transform traditional pop-up stores and advertising media into smart media using the LED broadcasting truck ‘Dalgo T’ and maximize content reach in areas with high pedestrian traffic.

Shin Seung-ho, managing director of Olymplazed Planet, said, “This forum was an opportunity to solve the problem of large amounts of industrial waste generated during the construction and dismantling of one-time pop-up stores and to explore effective brand marketing methods through eco-friendly strategies.” He added, “We plan to hold regular forums in the future to examine the latest trends in extended reality and artificial intelligence technology and present sustainable corporate business strategies.”
