
Xenoco announced on the 22nd that it signed a contract with Northrop Grumman to supply key equipment for the Korean mine-sweeping helicopter program.
Under this contract, Xenoco will provide its Advanced Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS) solution and Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD), and Xenoco will be responsible for manufacturing components as a hardware supplier for Northrop Grumman’s Advanced Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS). Northrop Grumman will use Xenoco’s equipment to supply key equipment required for the Korean mine sweeping helicopter program.
Northrop Grumman is a representative aerospace and defense company in the United States along with Lockheed Martin and Boeing, and has long-standing technology and experience in the field of laser mine detection systems (ALMDS). It is also well known as a major supplier of radars for the F-22 and F-35, the core fighters of the U.S. Air Force, and as a developer of the James Webb telescope, and its annual sales amount to 53 trillion won.
This contract is the first direct contract between Xenoco and Northrop Grumman, and is expected to be an important opportunity to open up the possibility of future collaboration with other global defense companies. A Xenoco official said, “Supplying key equipment to Northrop Grumman is a case that proves Xenoco’s technological prowess,” and “Based on this partnership, we will expand opportunities for collaboration with various global defense companies in the future.”
