MakinaRocks and Device Insights Form Strategic Partnership

MakinaRocks announced on the 22nd that it has signed a strategic partnership with Device Insight, a subsidiary of KUKA and an IoT/data analysis specialist, to develop industrial AI solutions.

Through this partnership, the two companies plan to accelerate the introduction of AI solutions tailored to the production environment of companies and to quickly implement practical AI in production sites, including data collection, data governance, customized algorithm development, and AI agent development. In particular, they plan to jointly develop AI-based predictive maintenance solutions based on KUKA robots and industrial AI LLM (Large Language Model) and supply them to European manufacturing companies.

Device Insight is a specialist in industrial IoT, data engineering and data-driven process optimization with over 20 years of experience. It is a subsidiary of KUKA and is headquartered in Munich, Germany. Device Insight supports global customers in the digitalization and optimization of their production sites through a data-driven factory approach.

MakinaRocks is a company that provides AI solutions optimized for various industries based on the AI platform 'Runway', and is the only domestic AI company that can develop and supply predictive maintenance solutions for more than four global robot manufacturers. MakinaRocks pursues innovation in all areas of manufacturing by combining various domain expertise and AI agents, not only in the industrial robot field, and has global companies such as Samsung, Hyundai, LG, and SK as its main customers.

“Not all manufacturing environments can be applied with the same AI solution, and implementing AI applications that deliver long-term value to our customers requires industry and IT experience, along with AI and data expertise,” said Stefan Hübner, CEO of Device Insights. “MachinaRocks is the perfect partner to complement these core competencies.”

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with European manufacturing companies through this partnership with Device Insights, which has extensive experience and expertise in industrial digitalization,” said Seongho Yoon, CEO of MakinaRocks. “We will spare no technical support to help local European companies apply AI solutions and accelerate their AI transformation (AX).”
