Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center (Director Yongwoo Kim, hereinafter referred to as Busan Creative Economy) announced on the 8th that the childcare company 'Nabiplex' (CEO Jinsol Park) signed a business agreement (MOU) with Malaysia's premium hotel brand Hatten Group for the global expansion of K-content.
Through this agreement, Nabiplex will provide K-content and premium products that reinterpret Korean and Malaysian traditions in a modern way to guests of the group’s hotels.
Hatten Group operates a premium hotel in Malacca, Malaysia (a UNESCO World Heritage city), and through this agreement, plans to provide customers with a differentiated accommodation experience through space composition and content that reflects Korean cultural elements.
Nabiplex CEO Park Jin-sol said, “This agreement will be an important opportunity for K-Heritage to take root in the Southeast Asian market,” and added, “We will promote the value of Korean culture on the global stage through K-content that harmonizes tradition and modernity.”
A representative of the Hatten Hotel also expressed his anticipation for the cooperation, saying, “We are very excited to be able to present Korea’s diverse and beautiful cultural content to our customers.”
Meanwhile, K-Heritage label 'Nabiplex' is working with domestic and international artisans and artists to carry out exhibition planning, design, product development, and digital transformation (DX) with the goal of modern inheritance of tradition and globalization of K-Heritage. Since January, it has presented a curation of works encompassing various genres such as crafts, photography, and fine art through domestic and international art fairs, and plans to open a premium complex cultural space 'Ahlfah! Collective' in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in February to spur the domestic and international expansion of K-Heritage.
Busan Changgyeong PM Jang Han-i said, “This valuable relationship with ‘Nabiplex’ began through the ‘Pre-entrepreneur Package,’ a project that supports prospective entrepreneurs with innovative technology startup ideas,” and added, “We will continue to work hard to ensure that excellent (pre-entrepreneurs) come to Busan Changgyeong and receive support.”
