Runit participates in the World Economic Forum for 3 consecutive years

Runit announced on the 21st that it attended the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in Davos, Switzerland from January 20th to 24th for the third consecutive year.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an annual gathering of world leaders to discuss global issues, and this year, the theme is 'Collaboration for the Intelligent Age'. In particular, this forum will be attended by leading AI scholars, including Professor Yoshua Bengio of the University of Montreal, a world authority in the field of deep learning, and Professor Andrew Ng of Stanford University, a leader in AI research, who are having an in-depth discussion on the present and future of AI technology.

After first participating online in 2020 as a WEF 'Technology Pioneer', Lunit participated in 2023 as a 'Global Innovator', and in 2024 as an 'Associate Partner', becoming the first medical AI company among over 1,000 WEF member companies. With this participation, Lunit has further strengthened its position as a global medical AI company.

At this forum, CEO Seo Beom-seok plans to meet with government health officials from each country and global medical and pharmaceutical industry leaders to discuss strategic cooperation plans and concretize Lunit’s future growth strategy. In particular, Lunit achieved market expansion in the breast cancer diagnosis field by acquiring ‘Volpara Health’ in 2023, and plans to discuss strategic partnerships with leading global medical and pharmaceutical companies at this forum.

CEO Seo Beom-seok said, “The fact that AI was treated as a central agenda at this year’s WEF means that AI has established itself as a key driving force for innovation in human society,” and added, “Participating for three consecutive years and obtaining associate member status are achievements that prove Lunit’s competitiveness, and we will continue to lead innovation in the global medical AI market.”
