Botamplus Co., Ltd., a local management company established by local creators such as Sesangsanghoe, is carrying out the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ local brand creation team project and interconnecting local merchants, spaces, and cultures. It is also conducting an experiment to expand the Gwanagol commercial district by discovering new entrepreneurs through the craftsman school.
During the alleyway shopping district tour, we visited Gotimansion, a makerspace for creators created through the local brand creation team project, as well as Sesangsanghoe, Jayplanet, and Stayyoudam, and experienced how alleyway shopping districts are transformed into brands.
In the subsequent meeting, we heard an explanation from CEO Lee Sang-chang of Sesangsanghoe about ways for Gwanagol in Chungju to advance into a global commercial district, and discussed how the government can effectively support local startups that have recently become active.
