Alchera announced on the 21st that its facial recognition AI-based attendance management solution, 'Workple', was selected as an excellent project in the final evaluation of the 2024 AI Voucher Small Business Division. This evaluation was conducted as part of the AI Voucher project hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
'Workple' is an attendance management solution that records and analyzes employees' arrivals and departures in real time using AI facial recognition technology. It prevents proxy attendance or fraudulent attendance, and is characterized by being able to accurately process attendance in just 1 second. Workple is currently being used in 24 workplaces, including the Baekdaebang Konkuk University Deo branch, and plans to expand the scope of application to various business fields in the future.
This solution is designed to maximize the efficiency of attendance and payroll work for small business owners and SMEs. Workple can identify employees’ attendance records, work schedules, and vacation information through facial recognition, and managers can check employees’ attendance status at a glance. In addition, it can accurately calculate salaries including night and holiday work overtime pay, and automatically issues pay statements based on attendance data, thereby improving the cumbersome labor cost calculation work of the past. In addition, it supports easy tax reporting and tax saving strategy management through tax accountant linkage services.
Workple overcomes the limitations of existing GPS or Wi-Fi-based attendance management systems. To solve the problem of location information manipulation through GPS spoofing or unauthorized access to Wi-Fi networks, Alchera uses facial recognition technology to block proxy attendance and fraud. It provides high security by being equipped with Liveness, a facial forgery prevention technology, and boasts excellent performance in hygiene and convenience as it is operated in a non-contact manner. As a result, it can be effectively utilized in large-scale workplaces such as manufacturing, construction, and retail.
