Mission Law Firm announced that it successfully held 'MISSION GLOBAL NIGHT' in Las Vegas, USA on January 8-9 (local time) during CES 2025, the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition.
This event, sponsored by patent law firm The Wave, was held to seek overseas expansion strategies and solutions amidst political uncertainty in the United States and the complex domestic situation. Participants looked into the outlook for the Korean and American markets at a turning point and shared insights on new business opportunities and cooperation plans.
This year's 'MISSION GLOBAL NIGHT', held for the second time following 'MISSION NIGHT' in 2024, was attended by over 100 people including CES Innovation Award-winning companies, domestic and foreign investors, reporters, and global marketing experts.
The first day was held under the theme of 'CAPITAL MARKET STRATEGY'. Attorney Seong-Hoon Kim, the representative attorney of Mission Law Firm, presented the cross-border company strategy as a solution for the era of increasing change and instability in his welcoming speech under the theme of 'Uncertainty as an opportunity, Korean companies' global challenge'. In the cross-border investment strategy panel talk that followed, Seok-Hoon Noh, CEO of Goodthings, Hee-Deok Park, CEO of Translink, and Si-Hoon Ryu, head of KIC Washington DC Center, discussed global market entry strategies and new opportunity discovery methods in depth. In the last session, Heon-Soo Ahn, CEO of CJ Foodville USA, and Sean Min, CEO of Crossing Storage, shared vivid examples of successful overseas entry. Afterwards, in the 1-minute pitching session that was voluntarily conducted by the attendees, each company's vision and technological prowess were introduced, providing an opportunity to meet with investors in the field.
The second day focused on 'PRODUCT MARKET STRATEGY' and local experts shared their practical experiences and insights. Following Attorney Kim Seong-hun's presentation on 'Cross-border company strategy in the era of transition', Witness Partners CEO Jeong Su-jin, Breakfast CEO Kim Ki-dong, and Odyssey Ventures CEO Kevin Kim shared their practical know-how on the topic of 'PMF experiment strategy to quickly verify the market'. Patent attorney Eun-jung Jin of The Wave Patent Law Firm provided detailed guidelines through 'IP risk management and brand marketing strategy for companies entering the US market'. In the K-content and media market analysis session, KOCOWA+ CEO Park Geun-hee, Mission International Partner Kim Du-i, and SWIM Co-founder Blake B. Kuhre analyzed successful market entry strategies.
In addition to the seminar, this event provided various business exchange opportunities. Participating companies introduced themselves and exhibited their products at a separate promotional booth set up in the venue, and corporate promotional videos were also shown on the screens installed in the venue. In particular, during the networking sessions held over the two days, participants had the opportunity to freely interact and explore practical business cooperation plans. This event, which was held by expanding the venue due to a larger number of applications than initially expected, became a meaningful communication platform for companies preparing to enter the U.S. local market.
Kim Seong-hun, managing attorney at Mission Law Firm, said, “We focused on building local market insights and networks to help domestic companies attending CES generate tangible results,” and “We will continue to expand strategic support for Korean companies’ successful global expansion.”
