
The Korea Women's Venture Association (Chairperson Mi-ok Yoon) announced on the 20th that it successfully held the '2024 Preliminary Startup Package Women-Specific Field Senior Company Bridge Networking Day' at the El Tower Annex (Seocho-gu, Seoul) on the 17th.
This event was designed to bring together aspiring entrepreneurs and senior female venture entrepreneurs to share the difficulties they face in the process of starting a business and commercializing it, and to seek solutions.
'Senior Business Bridge Networking Day' is a program that supports the transfer of business know-how and resolution of difficulties in the commercialization process through close networking between senior female venture entrepreneurs and female founders. About 50 people including female venture companies and female startups attended the event.
The event opened with stories of corporate growth and advice for startups from CEO Park Sung-hee of 'Hwain Korea Corporation' and CEO Yang Hyo-sook of 'Podiland Co., Ltd.' The two CEOs shared their experiences of corporate growth and provided practical tips and insights to startups.
The event also focused on networking, with group mentoring and 1:1 mentoring to freely exchange opinions and share useful information. There was also discussion on the possibility of collaboration between startups and senior companies, creating opportunities for real partnerships.
An official from the Korea Women Venture Association said, “This program has become an important opportunity for entrepreneurs to resolve difficulties they face while running their businesses and learn from the experiences and wisdom of senior entrepreneurs,” adding, “We will not spare our continued support to help female entrepreneurs overcome the difficulties they face in the early stages of their business.”
Participants also said that they achieved great results through this event. CEO Jang Hyo-min of 'Heyalpun' said, "Through this program, I was able to gain specific directions to overcome the many difficulties encountered in the early stages of starting a business, and through conversations with mentors, I was able to gain the confidence that 'I can do it too.'"
In addition, Kim Cheong-ae, CEO of Yeonbit, said, “Through the experiences and advice of senior companies, we were able to find ways to prepare for uncertainty and find a direction for growth, and it was a meaningful time for female entrepreneurs to grow.”
