AI Korea , which is currently pursuing a merger with Korea's 14th Horse Pack, announced on the 20th that it has successfully developed and commercialized a complex function robot with ultra-precision autonomous driving technology through collaboration with its affiliate AI Robotics. Since the complex robot was manufactured by proactively reflecting the specifications of global companies, it is expected to receive large orders in various fields.
The robot developed by AI Korea is a higher concept robot that goes beyond the limitations of existing AMRs (autonomous robots) and AGVs (automatic guided vehicles). It is an innovative product that can perform various processes such as assembly and inspection as well as material transport with a single robot.
The new product is a high-difficulty product that requires the highest level of technology in the field, with an active robot that moves in various directions combined on top of the AMR.
The robot is equipped with an ultra-precision autonomous driving function. The error range of the loading standard is less than ±1mm, and the autonomous driving rotation angle is ±0.5 degrees. It is capable of ultra-precision driving, and is equipped with a 3D vision camera to maximize work precision. This allows for more delicate and precise work in the work environment, and a range of motion functions that are much more advanced than those of existing robot systems.
AI Korea expects that this new product will generate large-scale demand in various industries such as secondary batteries, semiconductors, and displays. The company explains that the introduction of robots will allow for simultaneous work and transportation, which will greatly increase production efficiency and contribute to reducing manpower, and thus, it is expected to receive much attention from global companies.
An AI Korea official said, “This new product is a product that integrates a high level of precision technology and hardware in the field of robot development,” and “It reflects all the specifications that global companies require, so we expect it to have a high possibility of being adopted.”
He continued, “AI Korea plans to introduce innovative products to various industrial fields by starting with new products and further advancing related technologies,” adding, “We will accelerate sales growth by building a business portfolio centered on cutting-edge industries such as secondary batteries, semiconductors, and displays.”
