Tomato System, Jeonbuk National University Next-Generation Integrated Information System Construction Project Begins

Tomato System announced on January 20 that it held a commencement report meeting for the 'Jeonbuk National University Next-Generation Integrated Information System Phase 1 Construction Project' and began full-scale construction. The goal of this project is to construct a next-generation integrated information system to replace the 'Oasis' system constructed in 2011.

This project focuses on realizing Jeonbuk National University's informatization vision, 'The Best AI University', and accelerating the university's digital transformation. Through this, it aims to establish its status as a 'Global University 30', and the project will be carried out for 21 months from January 2024. The scope of the project includes the development of integrated information system applications (SW), construction of IT infrastructure, and construction of portal and mobile services.

Tomato System will form a consortium with Akanet, which has extensive experience in national universities and public information projects, to promote the project. Tomato System will provide innovative solutions that reflect the latest IT trends and will focus on implementing next-generation systems. Akanet will be in charge of establishing entrance exams, educational institutions, and affiliated organizations, and the two companies will work together to successfully lead the project.

Tomato System plans to implement a system with standardization and expandability by applying its own developed solutions, including the HTML5-based UI solution 'eXBuilder6', the DB modeling tool 'eXERD', the customized portal solution 'eXPortal', the survey system 'eXSurvey', and the test automation solution 'AIQBot'. In particular, the application of the test automation solution, AIQBot, is expected to strengthen quality management and development efficiency throughout the system.

Through this project, Jeonbuk National University plans to establish an academic management system that can flexibly manage various academic systems such as convergence and linkage majors, double and multiple majors, and micro degrees, and establish a foundation for proactively responding to the rapidly changing educational environment.

Lee Sang-don, CEO of Tomato System, said, “Jeonbuk National University is the first university selected as one of the ‘30 Global Universities’ to be promoting the construction of a next-generation integrated information system, and this project will be an important leap forward for Jeonbuk National University’s digital innovation and strengthening of global competitiveness.” He added, “We will do our best to ensure that Jeonbuk National University can establish itself as a leading university in the changing educational environment.”
