Jeju International Free City Development Center (Chairman Yang Young-cheol, hereinafter JDC) announced that it has appointed Bong-soo Son, CEO of Janes Co., Ltd., as the head of the Duty Free Business Division as of January 17, 2025.
JDC publicly recruited for the open position of Duty Free Business Division Manager in December, and selected the final successful candidate through document screening and interview of internal and external applicants.
Son Bong-soo, head of JDC Duty Free Division, joined JDC in 2002 and served in various positions, including head of the Product Planning Department, head of the Education City Department, head of the Planning and Coordination Department, and CEO of Janes Co., Ltd.
The new head of the duty-free business division will be in charge of the operation of JDC designated duty-free stores for the next two years.
Son Bong-soo, head of JDC Duty Free Division, said, “Based on my experience working at JDC, I will work responsibly to increase the value of JDC designated duty free shops and contribute to the creation of an international free city.”
