
Healthcare venture company Mediark Co., Ltd. (CEO Chan-hyung Lee) announced on the 20th that it recently acquired the additional ‘ISO27001’ certification established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), thereby strengthening its information security competitiveness.
ISO 27001 is an international standard for information security management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It must pass strict examination and verification for a total of 93 items in four areas: ▲organization ▲personnel ▲physical and technical security. By obtaining ISO 13485 certification, Mediac has also passed the main gateway required for quality management in the medical device field.
As ISO 27001 certification is the most authoritative international certification in the field of information security, Mediac is expected to increase trust in cooperation with major partners while proving its ability to systematically protect and manage data.
Mediac's service 'Simtomi' is a service that improves the efficiency of hospital work such as ▲reception ▲questionnaire ▲charting, allowing various patients visiting the hospital to conveniently use the pre-questionnaire service for free, and is expanding user contact points through cooperation with various institutions such as hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
A Mediac official said, “Mediac is currently actively expanding its business in the global market, including signing a business agreement with a South African company,” and “We will strictly comply with regulations and certification requirements of each country and create an environment that service users can trust.”
Meanwhile, Mediac is establishing a corporate research institute (R&D center) at Seoul Bio Hub (Innovation Community Center) and is accelerating research to strengthen technological competitiveness. Seoul Bio Hub is an innovation platform that supports the growth of domestic bio and healthcare startups, and Mediac is actively continuing R&D in various fields such as ▲development of data security and management technology ▲improvement of AI-based medical service efficiency ▲advancement of pre-diagnosis and electronic medical record (EMR) technology.
