Freewillin announced that it participated in the '22nd Korea Education Fair' held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul from January 15th to 17th and presented its vision for expanding the EdTech field. This fair was sponsored by 16 city and provincial offices of education, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and was the largest education and EdTech fair in Asia, with 302 companies and organizations from 16 countries participating.
Freewillin showcased various technologies and achievements centered around the school-tailored math AI courseware 'Schoolplat' and the university education-specialized AI courseware 'Pulicampus'. In particular, CEO Kwon Ki-seong participated as a speaker at the '8th International Education Conference (EDUCON 2025)' and gave a lecture on the topic of 'Freewillin's vision with AI: Beyond the math problem bank to university edutech'.
In his lecture, CEO Kwon mentioned the recent increase in ‘non-major’ admissions and the resulting diversification of academic achievement levels, and emphasized, “We have developed a solution that can diagnose and improve the basic academic ability of college students by utilizing edutech,” and “Edtech tailored to the needs of universities will play an important role in the future.” He also mentioned the possibility of expanding digital content for university majors, and announced plans to expand the scope to include languages, professional certifications, and basic liberal arts subjects.
At this exhibition, Schoolplat unveiled its ‘real-time monitoring’ function and ‘AI subtitle service’ for hearing-impaired students.
A Freewillin official said, “Through this exhibition, we will continue to develop and expand technologies that can solve practical problems in the educational field,” and “We will do our best to establish ourselves as an AI-based edtech company and be recognized for our value.”
