On the 16th, Sebang announced that it had acquired the highest rating of 'AAA' in the 'Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)' system.

AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification is a system that strictly evaluates and certifies a company’s legal compliance, internal control system, financial soundness, and safety management to ensure the safety and efficiency of international trade. It is currently applied in 97 countries around the world. After obtaining the first AEO certification in 2013, Sebang received an ‘AAA’ grade in the bonded area operator sector and an ‘AA’ grade in the bonded transporter and stevedore sector in this second re-certification review.

A Sebang official explained, “Since the AEO system was implemented in Korea in 2008, Sebang is the only logistics company to have received a ‘AAA’ rating. As of the end of September last year, only 38 companies, or 4%, out of a total of 935 accredited sectors had received a ‘AAA’ rating. This acquisition of the highest rating is the first case in which it has been expanded to include non-export/import companies.”

Sebang, which has secured an 'AAA' rating, can receive benefits such as ▲reduced cargo inspection rate ▲omitting document submission ▲exemption from customs investigation ▲fast customs clearance during customs clearance procedures. In addition, Sebang is expected to enjoy the same benefits in the global market through the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) for excellent export and import safety management companies signed with 25 trading partners including China, the United States, and Japan.

Sebang CEO Choi Jong-il said, “Achieving the AEO ‘AAA’ rating this time is an unprecedented achievement in the domestic logistics industry, and is the result of Sebang’s continuous innovation and customer trust.” He added, “Based on our proven logistics competitiveness and reliability, we will strengthen our position in the global logistics industry.”
