Startup Promotion Agency “Corporate Performance of Over 130 Billion Won at CES 2025”

The Korea Institute for Startups & Entrepreneurship Development (Acting President Choi Yeol-soo) announced on the 17th that it had created an integrated K-Startup pavilion at the startup-only exhibition hall 'Eureka Park' (hereinafter referred to as Eureka Pavilion) during the last CES 2025 and achieved corporate performance worth over 90 million dollars (130 billion won).

CES is the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in the United States, and is an exhibition that showcases global technology trends by introducing new technologies, products, and services.

This year, CES 2025 was held under the theme of 'dive in' with the message of connecting, solving problems, and discovering new possibilities through technology, and over 140,000 people participated, which is more than last year.

At this year's CES 2025, the Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development created the 'K-Startup Integrated Hall' in the Eureka Hall, a dedicated startup exhibition hall, together with 29 startup support organizations including POSCO, local governments, public institutions, and universities, and showcased a total of 127 startups.

The Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development announced that 127 startups that participated in the K-Startup Integrated Pavilion exhibited for four days from the 7th to the 10th during the CES 2025 exhibition period, and that 79 of them achieved consultation results worth a total of over USD 90 million (KRW 131.1 billion), of which USD 70 million (KRW 102 billion) were positive consultation results expected to lead to contracts.

As a representative example, Prime Co., Ltd. (CEO Baek Mae-soon), a commercial kitchen appliance company, signed a sample purchase contract worth approximately 2 million dollars (approximately 2.9 billion won) with American buyers during the CES exhibition period.

In addition, the Startup & Entrepreneurship Development Institute said that companies that participated in the K-Startup Integrated Pavilion achieved meaningful results in addition to exhibition consultations at CES 2025. More than 22 MOUs were signed during the exhibition period, and Greenetta Co., Ltd. (CEO Taewoong Kim), a startup that provides the ultra-light 3D data platform service 'Keeep', had the vice president of global company N visit its booth in person to sign an MOU to participate in the development of Gaussian splatting container technology.

And Owls Co., Ltd. (CEO Seungwoo Han), which provides comprehensive solutions in the last-mile mobility sector, signed a joint cooperation agreement with U, a U.S.-listed company, to develop various services using Cloud SIM technology, and announced that it has received an investment intent of 3 billion won from global investment firm M.

In addition, ePowertrain Korea (CEO Lee Ui-cheon), which specializes in designing high-performance, high-efficiency electric propulsion engines, and Tuen Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jae-hoon), a water treatment solution startup utilizing cutting-edge membrane technology, achieved tangible business results through CES 2025, such as establishing networks with not only global companies but also government officials for entry into the global market.

The Startup & Entrepreneurship Development Institute announced that it has provided specialized programs for companies at the K-Startup Integrated Hall to enable them to achieve various results. First, it provided a mentoring program to help them understand and learn how to apply for the CES Innovation Awards, which can be considered the honor of CES, as well as an exhibition marketing capacity enhancement program to enhance CES exhibition performance.

In addition, to help companies gain exposure to domestic and international media, we supported the distribution of press releases in Korean and English for each company, and held a pre-exhibition networking event called 'K-Startup Night' the day before the exhibition to help companies network with the media, local investors, and buyers.

Greenetta Co., Ltd., which signed a technology development agreement with Global Company N, stated that the support program was of real help, saying, “We were able to sign a business agreement with Global Company N as a result of doing what we learned through the exhibition marketing capacity enhancement program provided by the Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development.”

Acting Director Choi Yeol-soo of the Korea Institute for Startups and Entrepreneurship Development said, “The reason why Korean K-Startups are thriving at CES, the place for innovation, is because the 29 organizations that participated in the K-Startup Integrated Pavilion worked together as one for the companies.” He also expressed his will to continue providing support, saying, “Going forward, the Korea Institute for Startups and Entrepreneurship Development will continue to fulfill our mission to promote Korean startups to the world and help them advance into the global market.”

Meanwhile, the Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development plans to hold a CES 2025 Review Networking Event at the Global Startup Center (GSC) in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul at 2:00 PM on the 21st of this month to review the implications of CES 2025 and share excellent results with CES 2025 Innovation Award winners and participating exhibition companies.
