Beam Mobility, a personal mobility sharing service company, recently held an agreement ceremony with 'Geumho Bestville 4th Complex' located in Sanghyeon-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin, to create a PM-only parking area within the complex.
Beam Mobility designated parking areas were created considering the main routes and accessibility within the Geumho Bestville 4th complex, and were established to increase the convenience of movement for residents while also establishing safe PM use and proper parking culture within residential areas. Beam Mobility has strengthened the placement of its electric kickboards in designated parking areas in front of the entrances to apartment complexes, and has established a system where users can easily rent and return them. In particular, it plans to increase user satisfaction by providing practical usage benefits such as providing driving credits to residents.
This agreement is a public-private cooperation pilot project in which the Sanghyeon-dong Resident Autonomy Committee discovered cooperative agendas based on residents’ complaints and connected them to the implementation stage, and it is expected to satisfy two values: convenience of residents’ movement and improvement of the complex environment. In addition, through the operation of designated parking areas, inconveniences such as indiscriminate electric kickboard parking within the complex that previously occurred are expected to be resolved. Residents will be able to travel short distances to major transportation hubs such as subway stations and bus stops more efficiently, and it is expected that local residents will also contribute to alleviating local traffic congestion by utilizing environmentally friendly transportation methods.
Starting with this agreement with Geumho Bestville 4th Complex, Beam Mobility plans to expand cooperation with various apartment complexes nationwide and gradually increase the number of designated parking areas exclusively for PMs that reflect the opinions and needs of residents. In particular, we will focus on building a sustainable service model that takes into account the safety of children and the convenience of residents, and develop customized parking areas and service models that reflect the characteristics and needs of each regional apartment complex.
A Beam Mobility official said, “The creation of this designated parking area will be an important example that not only increases the actual convenience of movement for apartment complex residents, but also presents a model of coexistence with the local community,” adding, “We plan to continue to expand mobility solutions tailored to various residential environments in the future.”
Meanwhile, Beam Mobility is opening up new possibilities for shared PM services through innovative approaches, and is striving to provide a better urban environment and mobility experience through this. It is also continuously striving to provide new urban mobility convenience to residents in residential areas, such as by signing a partnership with Common Town, a co-living brand of Kolon House Vision.
