Climate tech startup 'Siksikju' (CEO Tae-i Yoon) announced that its 'Tencel Modal Mud Incontinence Panties' were selected as the '2024 Seoul Awards Excellent Product'.
The Seoul Awards, hosted by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), select the best products in each category through strict evaluation every year and play a role in helping to expand products through domestic and overseas sales channels and promotion.
Tencel Modal Mud Incontinence Panties are a product that can relieve women's urinary incontinence discomfort, and were created based on a patented technology independently developed by Iksikju (a human-friendly dyeing method containing natural minerals and hypoallergenic underwear manufactured using the method, patent application number: 10-2023-0160317).
'Siksikju' discovered that 40% of women who have given birth in Korea and about 30% of women in their 50s or older suffer from urinary incontinence and that they experience problems with their appearance due to bulky products when engaging in outdoor activities. They developed a product by applying 'Tencel Modal 100 count' to incontinence panties so that they are not uncomfortable for outdoor activities and do not show whether they are being worn.
CEO Yoon Tae-i of Food & Drink said, “As the incontinence market is growing in overseas markets, we plan to promote functional incontinence panties dyed naturally with ‘Boryeong mud,’ a sustainable Korean material, through exports to countries such as Japan and the United States.”
Meanwhile, the ideology Tencel Modal Mud Incontinence Panties have been selected as excellent products of women-owned businesses by the shopping mall 'Fox Hot Deal' operated by the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, and to commemorate the selection as an excellent product, a special discount event will be held for two weeks from February 3rd to February 16th.
