Hana Technology (CEO Taebong Oh), a specialized secondary battery manufacturing equipment company, announced that it has secured an order for all-solid-state high-temperature and high-pressure press equipment (Warm Isostatic Press, hereinafter referred to as WIP) from a domestic battery manufacturer. Having recently received a formal purchase order (PO), the company plans to supply the equipment to a pilot line in the first half of this year.
The WIP that Hanagwan Technology has successfully won an order for this time is a next-generation core equipment that is essential in the all-solid-state battery assembly process. It improves the durability and quality of batteries by simultaneously implementing high temperature and high pressure to increase the adhesion between solid electrolyte and electrode materials.
In particular, the company explained that the WIP 'HNP System for Solid State Battery (product name)' developed by Hanagwan Technology is a device that can increase the efficiency and productivity of the entire production line by minimizing additional heat treatment or pressure processes in the chemical process.
A Hana Technology official said, “Based on the technology and know-how we have accumulated while manufacturing solid-state battery equipment in the past, we have succeeded in developing the HNP System for Solid State Battery, and through this pilot line order, we have made a leap forward as a specialized turnkey solution provider covering everything from assembly to the chemical reaction process.”
He continued, “We plan to conduct process optimization and technology verification through pilot line supply in the first half of this year and lay the foundation for building a mass production line in the future,” adding, “We will continue to do our best in continuous technology development and quality improvement to meet the diverse needs of our customers.”
As global companies are recently aiming to commercialize all-solid-state batteries between 2027 and 2030, Hana Technology announced that it plans to accelerate securing market leadership through continuous technological development.
In addition, Hana Technology plans to participate in 'The Battery Show South 2025', the largest secondary battery exhibition in North America, to be held in Georgia, USA in April, and showcase its all-solid-state battery turnkey solution, including the WIP it is supplying this time. Through this, it explained that it plans to expand its contact points with domestic and foreign customers and further solidify its leadership in the next-generation battery market.
