GN, 'Operational Data Analysis Technology' Registered for U.S. Patent

ZIEN announced on the 16th that it had registered a patent in the United States for IoT device operation data analysis technology.

The patent registered this time is 'IOT DEVICE INSPECTION METHOD, AND DEVICE THEREFOR', which was also registered as a patent in Korea in October 2022. The technology analyzes the operational data of IoT devices to enable efficient data collection and inspection of IoT devices. The technology is designed to make various IoT operational data such as ▲service and network information ▲vulnerable functions ▲password files ▲software version information ▲hardcoded pattern information ▲system logs ▲SSH and SSL certificate information ▲system access control ▲encryption key information lightweight so that it can be analyzed even on small IoT devices. It also supports various IoT architectures including MIPS and ARM.

GN plans to integrate this patented technology into its security solutions to strengthen IoT security. By incorporating this patented technology into its 'Z-Sentinel' solution, which provides real-time IoT device identification and security analysis functions, it can detect abnormal behavior, and 'Z-IoT', an XIoT firmware security automatic inspection solution, can also inspect encrypted or obfuscated firmware, expanding the coverage of the solution.

“This patent registration is the result of recognition of our innovative technology that can enhance the security and management efficiency of IoT devices,” said GN’s CEO Youngmin Cho. “Combining this with our solutions will further strengthen our competitiveness in the IoT market.”
