Inshots hires Professor Oh Ji-hyung of Chung-Ang University as 'Chief AI Officer'

Inshots announced on the 16th that it had hired Professor Jihyung Oh of the Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science at Chung-Ang University as its Chief AI Officer (CAIO).

Oh Ji-hyung CAIO is a top expert in the field of computer vision AI in Korea. After graduating from KAIST with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, he received his master's and doctorate degrees from the same graduate school. He worked as a research intern at Meta in 2022 and was appointed as an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science and Technology at Chung-Ang University at the age of 29. He has also published numerous papers in major academic conferences related to computer vision and pattern recognition, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and AAAI. In June of last year, he presented the world's best-performing model in the field of video super-resolution and video frame interpolation with researchers from Google DeepMind, Adobe, and Netflix at CVPR in Seattle, and has internationally recognized research achievements.

Inshots, founded in 2023, is a computer vision AI startup that provides AI-based digital indirect advertising (PPL) solutions and AI Superscalar, an image quality improvement solution, specialized in the content industry. With the recruitment of CAIO Oh Ji-hyung, Inshots plans to further advance its technology and lead a new standard for content quality in the computer vision AI industry. In particular, CAIO Oh Ji-hyung will lead research to optimize the performance of 'AI Superscalar' and advance AI digital indirect advertising technology.

With the recruitment of CAIO, Inshots is expanding partnerships in the domestic and international content production and distribution sectors, and is strengthening its solution supply to overseas content production companies in Japan, China, and the United States. In particular, through the 'AI Superscaler' solution, it has completed a differentiated level of specialized video content solutions and signed technology supply contracts with several overseas companies, including Alpha Group, China's largest animation company. In addition, through collaboration with Megabox, it plans to release 'Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild', which recorded the highest number of viewers in the history of domestic animation, in super-scaled 4K.
