Alchera US Corporation Signs MOU with RCP

ALCHERA X (hereinafter referred to as AX), the US subsidiary of Alchera, announced on the 16th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with RCP, a company specializing in remote monitoring and real-time disease management.

Through this agreement, the two companies will develop a remote monitoring service for the elderly and a chronic disease management solution based on facial recognition AI technology, and through this, they will cooperate with the goal of strengthening remote medical services, reducing medical and insurance costs, enhancing patient information security, and expanding medical accessibility in underprivileged areas.

RCP plans to provide a non-face-to-face medical service that uses facial recognition AI to check the patient's health status without visiting the hospital and efficiently manages medical records through identity verification. Through this, it is expected to support medical services for the elderly with limited mobility, patients with chronic diseases, and patients living in medically underserved areas, and contribute to eliminating the medical gap.

The number of remote monitoring patients in the U.S. reached 30 million last year, and is expected to increase to 70.6 million this year. In addition, according to Grand View Research, the use of AI technology in the medical and healthcare fields is rapidly expanding due to the U.S. government’s support for the introduction of AI technology and deregulation, and the U.S. medical imaging AI market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 33.2% by 2030.

Alchera has established itself as a leading company in the financial sector, recording the largest domestic market share based on facial recognition AI technology, and through this agreement, it has entered the US medical AI market, marking an important turning point for global business expansion. The introduction of facial recognition AI technology in the medical field is expected to significantly improve remote monitoring and patient management efficiency.

Alchera CEO Young-Kyu Hwang said, “Through this agreement, we will be able to further solidify the position of Korea’s AI technology in the global healthcare market,” and “In the medical field, AI facial recognition solutions will play an important role in increasing trust between medical professionals and patients and expanding the medical market.”
