The ST1VAFE3BX is the first miniature dual-function biosensor combining a 3-axis ultra-low-power accelerometer with a vertical analog front-end (vAFE) for biopotential signal detection for consumer electronics, medical motion tracking, and wearable applications.
Available from Mouser, ST’s ST1VAFE3BX is a small, low-noise, low-power biosensor with adjustable input impedance that is ideal for wearables and other preventive healthcare solutions. The ST1VAFE3BX features low-latency, unique context-aware edge analytics with an Edge AI machine-learning core housed in a tiny 2 x 2mm package. The sensor also synchronizes biopotential and motion signals to provide enhanced compensation for motion artifacts.
Mouser is also stocking the ST STEVAL-MKI250KA biosensor evaluation kit. The kit consists of a PCB featuring a high-performance 32-bit microcontroller (MCU) that acts as a bridge between the sensor and the PC and the ST1VAFE3BX biosensor. The MCU supports a downloadable graphical user interface (MEMS Studio) or dedicated software routines for custom applications. The kit fully exposes the ST1VAFE3BX pinout and can be used effectively with ST’s STEVAL-MKI109V3 mainboard or the STEVAL-MKBOXPRO IoT programmable radio box kit.
