DeepFine to Provide Technology for 'Mobile New Media Gallery & Digital Heritage Tourism Service' Project

Deepfine provides technology for implementing XR content to the 'Moving Media Art Gallery: Media Bus (mobile new media gallery, digital heritage tourism service development)' project promoted by Art Center Nabi Art Museum.

This project was planned by the Art Center Nabi Art Museum to bridge the digital divide and create a new art business model using new media technology, and was carried out after being selected for the 'New Art Technology Development Project' by the Art Management Support Center Art Korea Lab.

Deepfine uses augmented reality (AR) content and transparent display TOLED (Transparent OLED) content to help tourists on buses have a richer experience. For example, when tourists wear AR glasses during a palace bus tour, 3D characters appear to provide historical information as they pass through Changdeokgung Palace. This differentiates it from existing bus tours that only provide voice, and can maximize tourist immersion. In addition, TOLED attached to the side of the vehicle allows tourists to enjoy augmented content without having to wear AR glasses.

Deepfine uses technology that combines GPS (Global Positioning System) and VPS (Visual Positioning System) to provide optimal AR content. GPS continuously collects location information while moving, and VPS accurately implements AR content by determining the exact location based on images. This allows AR content to maintain accuracy even in environments with weak GPS signals, such as downtown areas and tunnels.

This technology can be applied not only to smart tourism but also to various industrial fields such as exhibitions, distribution, logistics, and manufacturing. Deepfine has also supplied smart maps to the 'Gwangju Chungjang Festival' in the past to improve the efficiency of tourist route planning and event operation, and has successfully carried out an AR navigation demonstration project for the Gwanghwamun area and an AR docent project for guiding exhibits at the Seoul Metropolitan Library.

Kim Hyun-bae, CEO of Deepfine, said, “This project will be an important opportunity to suggest the future direction of smart tourism through Deepfine’s XR technology that naturally combines reality and virtuality,” and “We will continue to research and develop innovative technologies that overcome existing technological limitations and apply them to various industries.”
