
WIRobotics announced on the 15th that it achieved results in entering the global market at 'CES 2025', a home appliance and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA from January 7th to 10th.
This year, CES was held on the largest scale ever, with over 4,500 companies from 166 countries participating, a 29% increase over the previous year. The main themes were artificial intelligence, mobility, and robotics, and in particular, it was evaluated that innovative technologies such as senior tech and wearable robots are entering the popularization stage.
At this exhibition, the wearable robot WIM presented by Werobotics has won the Innovation Award in the robotics field for the second consecutive year, and its technological prowess and innovation have once again been recognized on the global stage. WIM is an ultra-light wearable robot weighing 1.6 kg that anyone can easily wear in less than 30 seconds, and it is a product that analyzes the user's walking data and provides a personally optimized walking solution by linking with a dedicated mobile app based on AI and big data. It also provides various modes such as assistance mode, exercise mode, and hiking mode to present the optimal solution tailored to the user's needs. Approximately 500 units have been sold in the eight months since its launch in the Korean market in April 2024.
During the CES 2025 exhibition, the Werobotics booth was packed with hundreds of people waiting in line even before the wearable robot WIM experience time, and it received a lot of attention, with major domestic and international media outlets covering special programs.
Co-CEO Lee Yeon-baek said, “During this exhibition, we received individual purchase requests from general customers from all over the world, as well as collaborative consultations with global distributor Best Buy, global medical equipment company Ottobock, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers.” He added, “The wearable robot that was first released in the Korean market in 2024 was highly evaluated by consumers, and based on this, we plan to make 2025 the first year of our entry into the global market and fully advance into the U.S., European, and Japanese markets.”
