Wonju Medical Device Techno Valley Signs Business Agreement with Gangnam Severance Hospital

On the 14th, Wonju Medical Device Techno Valley (hereinafter referred to as WMIT) and Gangnam Severance Hospital signed a business agreement (MOU) at the Gangnam Severance Hospital Medical Device Usability Research Center to promote the global expansion of domestic medical device technology and services.

This agreement aims to support the commercialization of innovative medical technologies and strengthen international competitiveness as digital healthcare, AI, imaging and measurement diagnostic technologies become increasingly important in the medical device industry. The two organizations agreed to support the overseas expansion of domestic medical device companies and jointly promote research and development, clinical research, and commercialization support.

The main contents of the agreement include ▲cooperation in verification research and education of domestic medical device companies ▲cooperation in usability assessment ▲cooperation related to international certification support projects ▲cooperation to discover unmet needs, etc.

WMIT President Jong-Hyeon Han said, “Through this agreement, we will combine Gangnam Severance Hospital’s research infrastructure and its experience in supporting medical device companies to help domestic medical device companies achieve greater success in the global market.”

Gangnam Severance Hospital Director Gu Seong-wook emphasized, “I hope this agreement will serve as an important stepping stone for the globalization of domestic medical device technology, and I will actively support companies’ successful global expansion.”
