
Neurogreen Co., Ltd., a medical device startup based on the convergence of neuroscience and artificial intelligence technology, signed a business agreement (MOU) for the ‘development of an intelligent rehabilitation system’ with Hurotics Co., Ltd., a leader in the rehabilitation robot field, at CES2025 on the 7th.
This agreement was made to jointly develop a next-generation intelligent rehabilitation system for paralyzed patients by combining the brain-computer interface (BCI) technology and rehabilitation robot technology owned by both companies and to contribute to the development of related industries.
Neurogreen Inc. possesses the technology to operate rehabilitation robots and vagus nerve stimulation electronic drugs by analyzing the EEG signals of paralyzed patients’ movement imagination in real time. The technology was recognized for its potential by passing the preliminary and final rounds of the ‘Seoul Innovation Challenge’ hosted by the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency.
Hurotix Inc. is developing a wearable robot in the form of clothing for patients with mild walking disorders, and is conducting clinical trials and usability evaluations at various medical institutions, including Chung-Ang University Hospital. Through this collaboration, the two companies expect to respond to the demand for rehabilitation medical care related to the global aging population and present a new paradigm in medical technology.
This agreement is significant in that it combines the technological capabilities of the two companies to develop new medical solutions that can substantially improve the quality of life of paralyzed patients. Through their collaboration at CES2025, the two companies plan to strengthen their competitiveness in the global market and develop patient-tailored rehabilitation systems.
As a Seoul Bio Hub resident company, Neurogreen has been strengthening its product development and commercialization capabilities by utilizing various growth support programs supported by the hub, and has been consistently achieving results in the fields of neuroscience and healthcare, such as developing its own brain signal analysis algorithm and digital wearable devices. Currently, Neurogreen is focusing on developing solutions that integrate diagnosis and treatment based on electronic pharmaceutical medical devices, along with its full-scale entry into the smart healthcare industry.
