Warmblood, in collaboration with Upstage and Yonsei University's Underwood International College, has begun developing a document automation system for the financial investment industry using large-scale language models and generative AI technology.
Warmblood (CEO Won-Jeong Cho), Upstage, and Yonsei University Underwood International College announced on the 14th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to develop a document automation system for the financial investment industry using generative AI.
Amid the growing interest in improving work efficiency by utilizing large-scale language models and generative AI technologies, Warmblood has decided to collaborate with Upstage, which has the industry's best LLM technology, and the research team of Professor Lee Ki-heon of Underwood International College at Yonsei University, which has numerous related research achievements, to develop a document automation system for use in the financial investment industry.
The three organizations have agreed to cooperate in various areas, including ▲development of an LLM model for document automation in the financial investment field ▲research and development cooperation for the introduction of generative AI technology in the financial investment field ▲installation of document automation functions in Warmblood’s deal match service.
As the first step, the three organizations will begin developing an automated financial investment memorandum (IM) service. Warmblood will provide domain knowledge and data based on its expertise in the financial investment field, oversee the research and development process, and review commercialization by incorporating automation functions into the B2B financial platform, DealMatch. In addition, based on this, they plan to promote the development of additional document automation functions, such as audit reports.
Upstage provides core solutions for enhancing the processing capabilities of numerous financial investment documents and automatically summarizing and generating documents by extracting key contents from IM based on its own pre-learning LLM 'SOLAR' technology and document intelligence solution 'Document AI' technology. In the long term, it also pursues advanced document automation that extracts key information from various source data and automatically generates IM, audit reports, etc.
In addition, the research team of Professor Lee Ki-heon of Underwood International College of Yonsei University plans to study practical methods for processing the diverse and massive amount of financial investment field document data that constitute IM, design a prompt pipeline, and study key functions for extracting and summarizing key contents from multiple documents and generating documents.
Warmblood CEO Won-Jeong Cho said, “This collaboration with Upstage and Yonsei University’s Underwood International College will be an important opportunity to promote the introduction of AI technology to DealMatch and the financial investment industry.” He continued, “DealMatch aims to digitally transform the B2B financial market, and as DealMatch’s functions become more advanced, the capital market will become more efficient quickly, and we can expect to reduce social costs as a result.”
