Mister Mind, AI Care Robot 'Dream Doll' Distributed in Daejeon City

Daejeon City announced in January 2025 that it will distribute AI-based care robots, “Dream Doli,” to 1,000 households of vulnerable groups, including single-person households and the disabled. This project is being promoted as part of a community integrated care project in cooperation with Mister Mind , and provides a smart care service that can provide emotional care as well as emergency response.

Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo said, “Demand for care services is rapidly increasing due to the aging population and the increase in single-person households,” and added, “Through our collaboration with MisterMind, we expect smart care services to improve the quality of life of vulnerable groups and contribute to strengthening the safety net of local communities.”

MisterMind is the only AI care robot company that has cases of elderly people using AI care robots improving their cognitive abilities and alleviating mild dementia. It currently provides AI care solutions for 98 local governments and the elderly nationwide, contributing to solving loneliness, preventing lonely deaths, and providing emotional stability for elderly people living alone. In particular, Daejeon City has proven the effectiveness of smart care through care robots through a pilot project since 2022.

The newly distributed artificial intelligence (AI) care robot 'Kkumdoli' is MisterMind's 4.0 model with upgraded AI conversation engine and H/W using MisterMind's latest technology. This robot provides users with better usability and utilization with ▲added motion detection function ▲user-friendly interface ▲two-way communication function based on Chat GPT 4.0. In addition to functions to help with daily life such as medication reminders and emotional conversation support, the emergency notification function linked with the control system enables an immediate connection to 119, helping to prevent lonely deaths and build an emergency safety net for the elderly who use it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In this project, a total of 1,000 care robots will be allocated, 200 to each of the five autonomous districts of Daejeon City. Applications will be accepted by each autonomous district, and the elderly in need of care will be selected and supported.

Mr. Mind founder Kim Dong-won said, “Our first goal is to provide a happy life to single senior citizens in Korea, who are about to enter a super-aging society, through artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Our ultimate goal is to develop an AI algorithm that predicts mental illnesses in senior citizens such as dementia, depression, suicide, and high-risk groups for sexual sensitivity through big data.”
