ZEP announced on the 14th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea National University of Education's AI Convergence Education Research Institute to build an artificial intelligence and software education ecosystem based on the metaverse.
The signing ceremony was held on the 10th at the AI Convergence Education Research Institute of Korea National University of Education, and was attended by CEO Sang-yeop Kim of Jepp and Director Gwi-hoon Kim of the AI Convergence Education Research Institute of Korea National University of Education. This agreement aims to provide services that support non-face-to-face education and creative education, and plans to organize various educational curricula on the metaverse platform based on Jepp's content.
In particular, the first project of the agreement will be a learner-centered class reinforcement project utilizing 'Jep Quiz' produced on the metaverse platform 'Jep'. 'Jep Quiz' is an edutech service that provides various types of educational templates such as multiple choice, short answer, and true or false, and it has high usability as a digital teaching aid by providing a function that allows learners to easily create quiz rooms.
CEO Kim Sang-yeop of Jeb said, “We will expand Jeb’s influence in the educational field where digital transformation is accelerating, and present a new model of metaverse-based education by combining Jeb’s technological prowess in the edutech field and the expertise of the AI Convergence Education Research Institute of Korea National University of Education.”
Professor Kim Gwi-hoon of the AI Convergence Education Research Institute of Korea National University of Education emphasized, “Zep is very suitable for education using the metaverse platform, and by designing Korea National University of Education’s educational content as Zep-based classes, it will contribute to improving the digital literacy of teachers and students.”
